I’ve been wondering if it’s truly worth it to hire an expert for journal article editing or if self-editing with tools is enough. On one hand, experts bring a professional touch and ensure clarity, grammar, and formatting standards are spot on. On the other hand, it can be costly, and some argue that peer reviews already catch most mistakes.
